October Weekend in Prince George’s

October 4, 2013 By: Ceemaccomment

You cannot drive into DC and enjoy museums and memorials due to the government shutdown.  Hadn’t planned on doing anything like that anyway, so there.  Because there will be dessert on Sunday, me and the Hubster should take on the trail at Watkins Park or I can at least get some free Zumba in at the Community Expo happening at The Boulevard on Saturday.    There are at least 2 restaurants, The Commons in College Park and one in Temple Hills, that I’d like to try.  The good thing is, I have options for events and happenings right in Prince George’s County.  Tonight, Tamara Wellons and Secret Society are performing at different venues.  International displays of dance, arts, and food from Africa, Germany, Poland, Greece, and other nations will fill Allen Pond Park.  I can make a stockings run to Macy’s at Bowie Town Center and grab some culture on the way home.  Yes!
